I had a great day on lumber jocks yesterday i had got 2 daily top 3’s in the one day with my space saving lumber storage and my small stool made entirely from hand tools, so now i have daily top 3 awards (my other being my homemade table saw). Its great seeing all the encouragement of people and it gives me great inspiration.

3rd International Day of the LumberJock

As Debbie mentioned in the latest eMag, we have declared June 12th as The International Day of the LumberJock. This happened in 2007 when we reached 1,000 members, just 2 years ago. Fast forward to today and we are more than 10,000 members strong. Unbelievable… I had no time to post frequently in the last few weeks. I returned from Yemen two weeks ago and am still catching up. And as this site grows leaps and bounds I find myself spending much more time on the maintenance and support...

I awoke this morning to a dreary, cold, very foggy day. I don’t mind fog, my morning commute to work is only about 40 feet behind the house, and a little fog doesn’t slow me down much walking out there. Actually, it is mornings like this that I’m reminded how much I have to be thankful for. You every had one of those days when you go in to your shop when you feel like you shouldn’t? Well, I just had one of those days. I have been working on a sushi style tray for the cook off. When I took it out of the clamps I noticed this. Three corners were perfect and this one must have slipped a little when I was clamping. I was using my Jet clamps side ways, so I did not notice it.
