Modified my sliding crosscut sled for the band saw

A while back, I posted my sliding crosscut sled, but then I later built another sled that slid over both sides of the blade. The original sled was just to the left of the blade and left a cutoff piece to dance around and connect with the blade a few times. I found the perfect use for the old one sided sled at the band saw. I had to make a new runner, but the old one popped off easy enough. I cut it down to 12” wide and moved the end clamp closer to the left so it would not be off bal...

Table Saw Cutoff Sled & Circular Saw Guide

I’m making progress, slowly but surely, on the twin storage beds. To help cut some of the plywood parts to size, I took the time to make a couple of jigs, using some great ideas I’ve seen here on LJ. The first is the cutoff sled for table saw. I had one previously, but I was never happy with it’s accuracy, and I had to fiddle with the brass screws in the side of the runner to keep the fit adjusted to the miter track. Spalted Maple and Stained Glass

I do wood working and stained glass. I am looking for spalted maple in smaller length quantities such as cutoffs, but I also need longer lengths for taller projects. I have not found many places that accomidate the wood I need to do this. I also do smalaler jewerly boxes. Does any one know where I might buy the wood with resonable prices? I can thickness plane, resaw, etc. Must be able to be delivered via Fedex or UPS.Thanks for you help,Wally
