AZ Fine Art Expo happenings

Well we are into the second week of the AZ Fine Art Expo. There has been good crowds and some small sales so far. I guess things don’t take off right away. People know you’re here for 10 weeks and take their time and come back over and over. We have had some great reactions to our work and are hopeful for some big sales soon. New Mexico Magazine Article

We have just been featured in the October issue of New Mexico Magazine. This two page spread talks about us as artists and how our beautiful surroundings inspire us. It shows off our Shangrila II rocker, a dinning chair and the Hemesphere table. It was very exciting to have this article done on us and it came out better than expected. Rocking Chair featured in New Mexico Magazine

The most recent issue of New Mexico Magazine (April 2010) has featured our Black Walnut with Curly Cherry Rocking chair. This rocker was made for a woodworker friend of ours, to give to his wife for Christmas. The Black walnut came from an approximate 600 year old tree that was dead standing along the Hondo River, just outside of Ruidoso NM. Rocking Chair Class

Just finished up a Rocking chair class at our new place. We are calling them “Woodworking Retreats”, since they now include staying in a cabin with the class. We live in such a beautiful area, with lots to do, that it only made sense to make a few changes and add some more classes. This rocker class was a very intense 6 days, where the student takes the rocker home and completes it for himself. In this instance the gentleman flew in from VA to make a rocker for his first grandbaby...
