I just found by pure accident a website of a pair of artists/cabinet-makers. This is the kind of furniture that leaves nobody indifferent. Either you love it or you can’t stand it. Me? I do confess I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand I drool over those sexy huge and old slabs and the live edges and I do appreciate the craftsmanship required to turn them into art/furniture but, on the other hand, it is not my style of choice. Well, I had romantic notions of making my #100 Blog Entry a big to-do with a long and folksy Kansas Flint Hills Tour Guide with lots of cross linked information about the area where I live and work. It is a great area, and the rest of the world is starting to take notice. Progress Update on the Custom Steak Knife Commission Project

Hey folks, the Wife is in town getting a piece of glass for the top of my knife display box, and so I snuck in from the shop to post an update on the progress for my custom steak knife project. This is the first set of 18 knives. I haven’t started the second set of 12 knives, so it will be a another long couple of weeks to get them finished.
