Progress! After cutting the modling on the jig (which worked really well, by the way), some coping saw skill building and some creative Dremel-ing, the end of the first 12’ piece was complete: The first piece destined for the wall was one of the 14’ pieces, so I cut that square on both ends. Patty then painted them with the primer and pain we selected, Benjamin Moore Navajo White in Semi-Gloss (see modification, below). We left the 12’ piece in its original 14...

Had some shop time today with 42 degrees outside, it was quite a lovely day. my compressor came back to life also – I guess when it goes below 40 the air is too thin for the compressor to be able to raise the pressure in the tank. I also got the radiant heater from Lee Valley. Last time around, by the time I decided to order it- they were out of stock, and just received new stock this week. it works well, not as well as I was hoping for, but decent. Dec. 6/08 Last night Rick and I went to St. George, to Morley Miller Machinery. For their Christmas Open House they had a some company reps present to answer any questions about their products. In attendance were representatives from Steel City, King Canada, and BlackJack. We checked out a number of gadgets at the BlackJack display, including some sanding drums that attach to a drill press. You just cut your sandpaper to size, slip it around the drum, slide it into the drill press ...
