Squaring my miter saw

I had a Ryobi 14 Amp 10 in. Compound Mitre Saw. It was working fine but could only cut a max of 5 inches wide boards. I was in the market for a new on but all of the sliding miter saw was so costly. I even considered a Harbor Freight one, but even at that it was a $100 and more for one. I decided to check out craigslist.com and found a Kobalt one there for s feel. Cheap handy and ideal stropping compound. Take a Non Gel l toothpaste, keep it wet, apply to strop and have at it.

I just posted this as a comment/response on another thread but figured this might be something that others could find useful. so here goes.
