Along with Woodworking, I enjoy a new hobby, Screen Printing T-shirts.
I started a New Foundation for woodworkers Across the globe to unite and connect.
And I am starting to print T-shirts for the UFOWW and found a need for a screen printing press. So here is a look at that build
Also I had a short follow up on some notes about the press and why im posting a day early..

This shadow casting lamp creates a cool effect to any room by casting a shadow on a wall of any scene you’d like to create in the lamps silhouette panels. For this project I used horses.
The front of the lamp shows a horse in a natural calm state on all 4’s . And the frosted front panel of glass gives a nice subtle tone of light to illuminate the room.
The back of the lamp has a silhouette of a horse raring on it’s hind legs. This is the side that casts a shadow on...

What Is Burl?
I have discovered that this question is the most searched question for burls on the internet. Over 140,000 times world wide per month.
So I read what Wikipedia’s definition is and found out that they are not clear and in some details are wrong in their definition. So I am going to attempt to clear the muddy waters.

Consideration #2
If you have fruit tree burls or burls like madrone there are two ways you can semi-stabilize the burl.1. Pressure cook the block:a. I have a friend in New York who gets 12×12 x 6 blocks of Madrone and when he gets them the first thing he does is throws them in the pressure cooker for one hour.b. Let the water cool down until you can comfortably take the blocks out with your hands. Then re-wax them until ready to turn the bloc...

Hey everyone,
I have just redesigned Oregonburls.com would like to offer an artist page. I know that it is expensive to get your art into galleries that charge up to 40% of the sales price and ebay up to 25%+. Oregonburls.com is an advertised site.
This page (Artist Corner) would allow you to sell your wood creations with just a flat fee of 10% of the sale price. You would keep your item and when it sells I print the shipping label and email it to you along with sending you a check or pa...

I found a posting in the ‘Free’ section of Craig’s List for some scrap wood piled up next to the curb. It was on a street just a few streets over from where I live. So… I ran over and this is what I found on the curb…
And here’s more of it loaded in my truck…
And a closeup of the mesquite…
Here’s a closeup of the maple burl I found in the pile…
It’s the best Craig’s List score I’ve ever ...

You are the best!!! I asked yesterday if you would go and check out my newly designed website and over 200 of you answered the call.
So with that I say a big thank you! I will be adding burls daily for the next week or so, so please keep checking back.
Today I will be listing some beautiful fiddle back walnut lumber and a large quilted Maple billet.
As soon as I figure out a coupon code I will extend 10% off of your whole order exclusive to LJs.
