The next and final version.
I needed to address some of the problems that I noticed from before. Complexity needed to be reduced. Some of the racking and shifting needed to be addressed. I wanted to remove the concept of keeping all the skate bearings so tightly pressed against the rails. And it needed a face lift. So I came up with a new (is anything new?) design.

Well, we all have big dreams on what tools we would like to have in our shops. This is one I would like to get – CNC Router by Shopbot. Imagine being able to cut your project by simply laying the wood on the table, turning on the machine, and go get a cup of coffee or a soda while the machine does the work. When you return, the pieces are cut out, ready to sand and assemble. If done right, the accuracy should be better than you can get by hand.

I have completed preliminary stages of machining a custom helical cutterhead for my DeWalt 733 Planer.The design is what I came up with from looking at other companies’ designs. This is what I created in my CAD software.

I’m currently building a rack for lumber shorts and cutoffs under 3’ in length. I wanted to do a bit more than slap together Home Depot plywood and solids this time, though. One small ‘extra’ will be exposed pegs through the sidewalls to help support the thin ply shelves (they’re also getting #0 biscuits – I like overkill). OK, I had 8 rather large mortises to cut for the feet and top of the trestles for a new workbench and thought my little tool would come in handy. It did a handsome job, so I thought I would share. I also did my first video, just the camera on a tripod, 5 minutes of routing. Boring unless you like this sort of thing.

Hey everyone,
Would any of you have or know of someone who has one of the craftsman CNC wood carvers or something like that to do a project for me? I would be willing to trade Burl for it or pay the cost.
I need wooded burl coins made with my company logo carved on them out of my burls. The coin I would like to be the size of a silver dallor and starting at 1/4-3/16th thick.

There are a few corrections on the first page and can be seen here.
This information is from an actual build of a corian countertop. This was a job for united technologies 6 restrooms with three undermount sinks each. Photos were taken along the way. I will be as clear as possible on all the steps needed to accomplish this.
