Building and installing the carcasses was pretty straightforward. I enjoy not having a specific plan to work from as it allows you to change things up and continue designing while you build.
The picture below shows the big center unit completed. I built it first with a solid back, then realized that it would work better with a false back behind the TV so all the wires could be hidden but still easily accessed.

About a month ago I received a phone call asking if I would demonstrate the Art of Scrimshaw at the Senior Center in Marion, KS. The lady that called said that she has held onto a brochure of mine since 2003 that someone had given her then, and so she decided to see if I would come and talk to the group.

Well, I made it back into the shop this weekend, fingers are a bit tender and that slowed me down a tad but I did make some saw dust. I also got a package on Friday from Amazon with my new Kreg (small gloat) miter gauge in it. It went together fast and according to my engineer’s square was right on the money.
Building this entertainment center is a true learning experience. I want to get it built but I keep getting side tracked to build other items to aid in the making of the entertainment...
