Building an inclined cat climber

We have a 21 year old cat who can’t jump much any more. So I made this inclined climber which allows him to now reach his favorite perch. It’s inclined so that it can be placed in a corner, taking a minimal amount of floor space. This is a condensed version of the full length (~50 minutes) video which can be seen here:

Custom Cat Door

Pet doors are cool. They let your little friend go in and out at will – so you don’t have to deal with them. The plastic cat/dog doors available never really appealed to me, but I liked the ability to give our cat freedom during the day and be able to lock up the door at night. A few years back my cat decided to get untrained. She started crapping behind the furniture. It was pretty strange. The solution was to move her to the shop where she has access to plenty of sawdust.
