Started this project over a year ago. The wood is Ancient kauri, I bought it for it’s neat history knowing nothing of it’s carving characteristics. It was going to be a clock, but during the final part of cutting in the celtic design the side of the block cracked. I was going to toss it, but s friend said to hold on to it and look at it again later. Now it’s later and I have an idea, it’s weird I promise. During this process, the fragility of the wood al...
This cabin will have a 9/12 pitch roof, and have petition walls, has plastic windows, and ceilings, and a roof that will open on hinges!

Every once and a while as a craftsman, a job will find you which will give you new life and inspiration. Also bringing out the best of your abilities as a craftsman. It isn’t easy finding someone that likes you own individual style as a furniture maker where you can build pieces that you have only dreamed of building someday for someone. It has been kind of a slow year and I never dreamed that this one person would just walk in my business and request pieces of such intricate detail ...

It no longer an out door bar, it is fully enclosed and water proofed... which in it self was a challenge once was water proofed we got power added so the bar fridge and TV, lights and accessories. The french doors we made at my work and got them installed once they went up...
The other day I was working from home, I was bummed out because I had been to busy to do much woodworking lately, so I said “Hey, standing desks are supposed to be good for your, and my “joinery bench” is about the right height, why not put my laptop on the bench?!” If I cant woodwork, I can at least be around my tools. One thing leads to another and while on a conference call I get the bug in me to reshape this plane tote. I’ve always disliked the shape of...
You will see some amazing joinery and craftsmanship in this slide show. Great for ideas… An ad man named Leonard Fenton has spent well over two decades now working on Artemesia, reputedly the largest Craftsman house ever built. And it is something. The 13,300-square-foot mansion in L.A.’s Los Feliz neighborhood was built a century ago by Frederick Engstrum, a construction tycoon who built downtown’s lovely Rosslyn Hotel, according to a story last year in Los Angeles Ma...
