07-25-2011 04:34 PM by JJireh | 1 comment »

Carving a carving knife #2: Finishing up the first carving knife

10-23-2010 06:20 PM by PaBull | 2 comments »

Building a Carved Functional-Art Chair to Match the Tilt Front Desk

10-22-2007 06:17 AM by Mark A. DeCou | 16 comments »

I’ve had a fun week. I’m building a chair to match the Tilt Front Desk that I previously posted, and blogged about. She loves to cook, and hopes to move her laptop computer station to the kitchen where she can capture her thoughts on her cooking blog, and do more writing. ...

hand carved redwood bench #2: Some progress and an introduction

08-13-2009 05:45 AM by kolwdwrkr | 8 comments »

Well the bench is coming along about as slow as possible. Working full time now doesn’t leave much of a window for me to be out there carving. Haunted Forest TWO routering

10-17-2007 12:44 AM by Dan'um Style | 11 comments »

Forgot how messy a router is. Mahogany machines like butter.Photos are the project with one section roughed in … deepest section … about 3/8 depth using 1/2 router bit.A section with the poster glued on and the tools I’m using, less the dust collector. As mentioned in Marc’s blog … Bought a 1/8 down spiral do some detail work. One thing I didn’t plan for was the paper wants to lift up next to the router bit. My work around is scoring the drawing with ...
