Tomorrow Feb 26 is Lumberjocks Birthday Started on Feb 26, 2006 Our seventh birthday. Martin a great job and thanks from the bottom of my heart. Karson
Another Halloween and another year on LJs! It turns out it was a good idea to do my first post on Halloween. It makes it easy to remember to update my yearbook blog. My projects postings are a little “thin” this year. I only got one posted and that was from last Christmas. Nevertheless, the Kitchen Gadget Project was a fun one to share. I was a little more active with my blog. I added to 2 of my blog series. The gift series now has a nice story about building the Kitchen Gad...
This is my Birthday Gift. I’m presently in the process of building a bench for it. I’ll be posting it when it’s completed I had to get this new lathe, because I have some larger wood from a Black Walnut I had to have taken down in our yard. I’d like to make some larger things with the wood. I couldn’t let it go to the chipper! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Addendum: I dwelled on wether to buy a new lath...
10/31/2011 It’s another Halloween evening and it is time for a yearbook entry. A good thing to do while waiting for trick-or-treaters. This year was a little harder to find LumberJocks time. Several personal events took time away. The site’s popularity has grown (a good thing) and that has made it a challenge to keep up with all that is going on. I finished out last year’s entry by saying I was waiting to see me up on the “Roll-the-Dice” part of the front p...
Hmm…what’s special about today? Think think think… AH! It’s my birthday! Wohoo! Survived another year!
My Eldest daughter seems to have a knack of finding some very apropos gifts. This birthday I got a “T” shirt and a wall sign. Both of them are handyman oriented. Thanks Karrie
Wow, I can’t believe that 2 years have gone by already. Time flies when you’re having fun ! This has been a fantastic two years from a LJ perspective. I have met and talked with so many wonderful folks out there. I have increased my woodworking skills by a huge amount from all of the wonderful information that is shared here on LJ’s. From the projects for inspiration, the blogs with amazing instructions, the reviews to assist in making decisions on tools etc, the forums f...
Well I just had my birthday and my lovely wife went out and picked me up a little something. I just put my old Relaint drill press up on Craigs List hopefully it will find itself a nice new home.
Boy! do the years fly by when you get to this stage of life. I can’t complain, because “LIFE IS GOOD”.
Everyone’s going to hate me for this, but I just fell – not literally – into a lot of new Robert Sorby turning tools. The 18th (3 days ago) was my 32 birthday (for you programmers, that’s 100000 in binary – I no longer fit in 5 bits!). Mom sent me a box of Rockler goodies from my wishlist. In typical (for my mom) fashion, she overdid the gift-giving. She’s always been very supportive of my endeavors. Thanks, mom! I’ll have to make her several nice thi...
