Oh my! You guys have no idea how happy I am right now. It took about two weeks, a digital angle finder, a dial indicator, a new Biesemeyer fence, table saw extensions, and a lot of sweat, but this crosscut sled is done! Well, almost. Still have to build accessories, paint it, and make it look all pretty and whatnot, but at the very least, I can use it to cut, or more exactly to crosscut. You are probably wondering how on earth can a simple sled make a guy this kuckoo right? It is by no mea...

Was building a pergola in the back 40 for a Koi Pond.Mostly salvaged deck lumber.Was shooting 3” framing nails into the top when the gun slipped just a little.I could tell by the lack of recoil that something went wrong.As soon as I moved the gun and saw the ding in the side of the wood I knew what happened…the gun moved enough to shoot the nail past the wood, at about an 80 degree up angle.I counted to about 4, and heard the nail hit in the street on the other side of the block.S...

Fire Pit Bench

Here was an easy project that I did recently; a Fire Pit Bench. It only takes a few cedar boards to make this, and it’s something you can make in an afternoon.
