I’m in the midst of finishing up a project I have really enjoyed. Sure, it has taken me two times the hours I bid, but I am happy with the result. Actually, it has come out better than I expected, which is always a nice surprise.
This is a functional-art piece I wish I wasn’t selling, to be honest. But, I have already spent all of the down payment. So, giving the money back is not possible, so the customer will get her desk.

Drupes and Drupaceous Nuts as Tung Oil
So lets cut to the center of the fruit….like cutting to the quick, and talk about China Wood Oil, wood nut oil or just plain ‘tung oil’. Homelite 26 LCS
I thought I would post an-other one of my collected chainsaws here from the bygone days of ‘golden oldies’....
....and when one really gets to studying these ‘beasts’, one can also much more appreciate where we are today, with chainsaws in terms of safety, (don’t you just love the safety word) weight, horsepower and ease of the cut in the wood….
....the Homelite 26 LCS was introduced in 1951 and discontinued in 1953….

This is what I call ‘wood art’....Spalted Maple is hand sanded and steel wooled with multiple coats of tung oil….Barn-board on this side, is cleaned up with woolite pads and no-fin...
