OK, lots done since posting Build #1 ..completed assembly of the skeleton/structure complete with the painted black top Moved onto making the walnut skin … made the thin pieces for the bent wood laminations glued them up routed grooves for the end panels dry fit the end panels before doing the veneer work routed slots for the concealed hinges fit the curved door rails routed grooves in curved door rails dry fit the skin and doors, again before starting the veneer wor...

My design calls for an oak skeleton/structure and a walnut skin with curly maple veneer panels The oak has been planed and cut to width and length . The bent wood lamination form was made and the laminations made There was some spring back but the first dry fit shows I can pull it out on assembly. Half laps and biscuits have been cut with a few more yet to go Then onto the bottom (fixed position) shelves and the top. So far, dry fit is looking good More to come as...
