Daily Top 15 is here!

11-14-2011 06:01 PM by Martin Sojka | 62 comments »

Let’s see what you think about this update. I’m quite excited about it and am eager to see how it evolves down the road. Revised Posting Rules and Forum Updates

07-04-2011 10:25 PM by Martin Sojka | 52 comments »

Although on the surface it seems an easy task, it is rather quite difficult as we consider the demographics of our members as well as the different ways people use the site. After lots of brainstorming conversations, reading the site feedback suggestions, and many “yes, but…” perspecti...

Popular Woodworking has announced the winner of the Thorsen Table Challenge. Before we get to that, I want to congratulate all of the winners—everyone who took part in the challenge and enjoyed the process, the laughter, the teasing, and the inspiration that we have shared over the past three months. I would again like to thank Karson and Obi for this great idea. It has really been a lot of fun and we have met many more LumberJocks because of it! Thank you. And now for the ...

05-17-2007 06:09 PM by fred | 8 comments »

The product began from a search for a rust preventative solvent and degreaser to protect missile parts. WD-40 was created in 1953 by three technicians at the San Diego Rocket Chemical Company. Its name comes from ...

LumberJocks Podcast is Here!

05-12-2007 12:34 AM by Martin Sojka | 11 comments »

This is exciting news. Few weeks ago I’ve mentioned the idea of starting our own LumberJocks Podcast that would feature Interview series and hopefully more interesting audio or video formats in the future. Then I received a personal message from Erik Pearson – our fellow LumberJock – who offered me the helping hand with the interviews. He had no prior experience with creating audio podcasts but he had the right commitment and desire. We contacted our experienced podcaster...
