Whoops I missed my 5th anniversary on Lumberjocks while I was on a cruise to North Queensland.Did see a spectacular event at sea though. A total solar eclipse 200 mile off Port Douglas. If you haven’t witnessed one yet put it on your bucket list. It is an amazing scene.5 years gone and seems like yesterday.A good chance to say G’day to all my buddies & all LJ’s.
its a great day to be here, and to have made so many friends on here, and to have learned from so many wonderful wood workers..here is to many more years, and thanks to all who make the web site here a great place …grizzman
Today is my 6th year anniversary on Lumberjocks. Things have sure gotten bigger from the early days. Back then you had lots of time to view the posts on the pulse page. We sent messages back and forth on our blogs and projects because we didn’t have messaging. Nobody thought about blocking anyone, we were all great cyber friends. Some of those friends have been lucky enough to get a visit from me. I’ve thought about a blog series of the LumberJock shops I’ve visi...
Yes, here we go again! It’s just plain AMAZING… how the years can go by SO FAST! It does NOT seem like 49 years! That sounds like such a LONG time! Almost Half a Century! Talk about feeling OLD… it’s that kind of talk that really gets you to thinking! Anyway way, here we are again! We haven’t decided where we’re going to eat tonight… yet… Funny thing… we like QVC… and there cooking – Kitchen stuff… th...
Well, winter finally arrived a couple of days ago…..6 inches of snow and -2 degrees F. Not so bad, but I was getting used to the idea of skipping winter this year. On a more pleasant note; I just celebrated my 1st year with LJ. I have enjoyed being a part of this great group of men and women, craftsmen and artists, with a common, yet diversified interest in things wooden. I have “met” so many great people in the past year and have even managed to meet a couple in person.Th...
Wow, doesn’t time fly. 4 years now on Lumberjocks and what a great community of people from all over the world. If only our diplomats and generals were members of LJ’s it would be a safer world. To all my buddies and all on LJ’s thanks for your support. I have learned much since joining this community and I hope I have contributed something in return.Off to New Zealand for a short break (land of the long white cloud & very competitive sportsmen & women). As Arnie says,...

Lumberjocks will be celebrating it’s fifth anniversary on Feb 26, 2011. Of course the fifth anniversary is known as the one to give wood articles. How cool. Congratulations Martin on this milestone. A great site and a lot of friendships.
... from being a single man to a Married man! Spent most of the day trimming trees (wood) and Ivy… Tonight, we are going to a restaurant called The Red Lobster…... I will probably have Snow Crab Legs… she will probably have Lobster (my guess)... It sure doesn’t seem like 48 years… Yesterday, I hesitatingly asked her “Is this 45 years?” She abruptly corrected me by saying “It’s 48!” (as if I was some o’ dummy). Y...
