Preserved for 50,000 years, one of the largest Ancient Kauri boards now resides in the U.S. Ashland, WI—June 10, 2009—Ancientwood, Ltd., an importer and supplier of rare, ecologically harvested Ancient Kauri wood, has recently brought the largest board of ancient wood to the United States. In the first couple of centuries or so A.D, The Germani tribe was dominant in northern Denmark. Following military victories, it was their tradition to hurl war booty into the nearest bog! Just near Odense, is a massive bog called Vimose containing a considerable quantity of these war booty sacrifices. I just wanted to share this lovely Roman Plane with interested Lumberjocks & suddenly I’m confronted with BLOGs, scripted windows & HTMLs and other stuff that the Romans would never have dreamed of. Homelite 26 LCS and more….. ....and so I thought I would toss in a few more photo’s of the Homelite 26 LCS model chainsaw, along with some shots of the gear reduction drive system, 2.75:1, that it used…. ....and along with the belt reduction, one will also notice the external plumbing line for the oiler, at the entry way into the chain bar.
