Well, I was asked to put together a blog on how I made my segmentd ring. Since I had to make a new one for myself, (first one too small) I thought I would go ahead and do a step by step picture tutorial. My first time ever doing something like this , so hope it comes out OK.

This Week I show you how to make a folding out feed table for your table saw. This design was based after an article and plan found in a 2009 issue of Woodworker’s Journal Magazine. My wife and I have been sharing my workbench out in the garage for my woodworking projects as well as her jewelry making projects for a while now but we both decided it was time for her to have her own workbench. Recently I had a need to build a new table saw base for my saw. Rather than just building a simple replacement base, I opted to build one with lots of storage potential. This new base measures 6 feet long by 2 feet wide, which gave me good reason to move over to the new shop building. This week I decided to rebuild my tablesaws extension wing/router table. This time I removed the factory metal wing along with my old router table extension and built a new wing using the MDF and famica from last weeks build. This new extension wing combos as a router table as well as it has a pull out support arm that allows me to support my material as i cross cut long boards or sheets goods no matter if I am using a sled or not, because the support arm is adjustable. Hey everyone,
I was asked by a few of you from my blog “How to find legal burls” “once I get them how do I cut the burls”?
Well I just made a short vidio on how I cut to the burl in the context of a bowl or hollow form blank.

I recently came across a supply of lumber from a business here in Cincinnati, OH, Midwest Woodworking. It is owned by a second generation businessman, Frank David. The warehouse he has is probably well over 40,000 sq feet. Spread out across 2 floors are some of the longest complete boules of lumber I’ve ever seen in Sapele, Mahogany and Makore.

:O) I am a bit excited. I finally have a set of GRR-Rippers in the shop. I have been wanting one for a long time. So I put together this video to show you just a couple reasons why I am pumped up about these helpful shop accessories. Well, thanks to the comments and questions I have gotten I dug through my pics to find one I had on how to make a pot call. So for the folks that want a quick tutorial here we go.
A pot call is basically a shallow dish containing two ledges inside. One is cut into the rim to hold the playing surface while the second is a ring left in the center raised to clear the bottom of the pot and still leave a space between the sound board that rests on it and the playing surface above it.
