My new work bench

1248 days ago by Tinnocker | 5 comments »

When my darling wife allowed me to use our family room as my wood shop I needed to make a bench. living on a fixed income causes me to be very creative in acquiring tools and materials. I have posted about Freecycle before so I won’t rehash that again unless anyone has any specific questions. Anyway I did some dumpster diving and was able to get a few old solid wood doors, which I promptly took apart and made a down and dirty work bench. It was ugly and a bit wobbly but it served it&...

At these shows and in several magazines or catalogs I have noticed many of these really nice woodworking benches that are way far out of my reach as far as the $$$ involved. Finally after a elongated sick spell lasting nearly two months I finally get few boards together, screws, a very few nails and other items tha...

The Best of 'Wood Art" #2: "Cascading Files" --by RusticWoodArt

2447 days ago by frank | 2 comments »

—-continued notes and thoughts, 2007-11-10 Cascading Files ....having come this way—-from my field of dreams, i soon realized that the form of medium—-was all-ready in my head, wood to be—-is as much of who i am as who i sought to be, so having settled that—-i was released to find the comfort of knowing peace…. Clarifications: —-on past notes that I have had to work through, so that I can further develop these images of ‘wood art’...
