"Waundering Walks of Imagination" --by RusticWoodArt

1016 days ago by frank | 4 comments »

”Waundering Walks of Imagination” ....i am a walker of waundering walks as i go spewing my words for glutton and fame, and where is it that my inspiration comes from, if not by being a container of all the thoughts that come my way, as my imagination clears the tops of trees and gathers those fine nuggets of golden word clutter, which when brought back to earth by my way, i then get the satisfaction of sorting through and tasting, for elements of finely attuned word grazingR...

'This Old Crack House' #1: Introduction

1016 days ago by Dusty | 9 comments »

She never liked me. I knew this. Somehow I needed to talk her into selling me her house. I had tried several times over the last three years to buy it from her. No luck with that.I was tired of the constant traffic that stopped in front of the house. The cars would slowly approach the house – then suddenly someone would jump out of the car and run up the front porch and hand cash through the missing screen window. It wasn’t uncommon to see two police squad cars out in front of the...

Writing for me and writing for you...

1016 days ago by Ethan | 8 comments »

For the past few months, I haven’t been paying nearly as much attention as I should to my own website. But my web designer is on a bit of a hiatus right now, as he really needs to find a larger house and get moved into it and he’s currently trying to get his house on the market and sold so that can happen. Sometimes it is a long, drawn-out process – if you want a really boring story on how I know that, ask me. The end result, however, is that he has very little time for...

"FittedPieces and All About Wood" --by RusticWoodArt

1016 days ago by frank | 9 comments »

”FittedPieces and All About Wood” Sometimes it’s best to wait, till the whole story unfolds and then we get a more clear picture story! I took these this afternoon and then while sitting here this evening and placing them on the computer, the picture begin to just tell it’s own story before me. ....and so I start with a bolt…. ....now give me a steel wheel…. ....four steel bolts, complete with washers; one steel wheel on a steel rail; ma...

hello, I'll be back as soon as I can

1016 days ago by Jim Earl | 6 comments »

Hello all my friends. I’m sorry I haven’t been on here lately, but on last Thursday I had my second surgery, removing cateratcts from my eyes. This time it was my right eye, and I’m still not able to see all that great but it’s all coming back even clearer than before. Give me a few weeks and I will be back on and trying to do more practice works and people around me are going nuts over my dead fern burnings. I have two of them burnt and I have orders for four more. My...

Conversion Chart on my website

1017 days ago by Obi | 1 comment »

Well I got tired of feeling old and unteachable and not being able to grasp the whole centigrade/celsius/ferenheit this to that conversion concept and you can only ask your lumberjock buddies so many times before they start thinking you’re too old of a dog to teach, so I went and found a site that has all the conversions i need (so far) on one chart, and posted it to my webpage. So, if there are any other old dogs that can’t seem to convert one thing to another or back, you can f...

Decisions...decisions!

1017 days ago by oscorner | 10 comments »

Once again, I have complete the projects that have been in different phases of construction in my shop. Some needing the cut list to be completed, others needing to be assembled, while others are being finished. Once this process is completed, the decision needs to be made. What next? Another table, finish that rocking chair I began building a year ago…search through the hundreds of plans from the internet and magazines that I have compiled over the last six years for something that...

SPALTED EYEBALLS

1017 days ago by jockmike2 | 9 comments »

I just wanted to let every one know the itchy, crusty, gunky, sneezy, coughing, spalted wood turner is healed up finally. That was quite an experience, and one I would’nt recommend to anyone. I did realize how much I miss the fortress of solitude. I went out yesterday and made her a pair of matching candle sticks out of some exotic that I have no idea what it is, it came with the lathe when I bought it. Very dark brown with white striations throughout. I think its wenge or paduak some u...
