Happy Easter!

159 days ago by Eric | 6 comments »

Hope everyone has a nice Easter this year. It’s already late afternoon here, after enjoying a nice day at church and at home. I posted a Good Friday project in the projects section here, but due to a flurry of project postings, it didn’t get much time in the LJ “showroom”. I’m planning on it being an annual project, and I invite the rest of you to join me!

CORECTION, my web site

163 days ago by dlcarver | 1 comment »

I’m sorry folks. I know a lot of people have been trying to bring up my web site, and couldn’t. The only thing I can say is that , because I am not computer salvey, I wrote it as an email address rather than a web site, in other words the (http://) was not included. That has been corected and it now works great now. Thanks for your patience!!! PLEASE DO TRY IT FOR YOUR SELF. ........Dave

Woodwork After Flu

179 days ago by DannyBoy | 4 comments »

After a long battle with the flue in my house, I’m finally able to get back in the shop. I had a list all ready of the things that I wanted to build around the house, but of course that got scrapped by necessity. As soon as I know what it is that I am actually going to be working on list wise, I’ll make sure and post it. This weekend, my wife, Jenny, wanted me to work on some garden stuff for her. She gets real excited about playing in dirt and some part of me just doesn’t want to discoura...

travel #4: Home from Asia

208 days ago by motthunter | 7 comments »

I truly hoped to blog on that the rest of my trip in India was uneventful and that I made it home without incident. Sorry,… didn’t happen that way. I spent my last day with friends who I do business with in the most beautiful part of Mumbai. The hospitality was like being a king for a day. The further south you go in the city, the nicer the city becomes. The southern most tip is a peninsula surrounded by water and the view is amazing. After lunch I did some shopping for gifts includin...

"Wordy Wooder" by RusticWoodArt

272 days ago by frank | 7 comments »

Wordy Wooder ....being born this way with a head filled full of words, and then next came the realization that my hands were created, to give expression to the images that swirled around within, while playing the part of verbal misfit, until the day my morning opened up and I saw wood…. One ought to ask them-selves first of all, who-what-where-when and how do I fit in? Without asking these questions that same one will fall prey, to all the other’s coming along and across one...

Back and inspired

291 days ago by brad | 2 comments »

My bride LuLu and I are back from a relaxing weekend at Tan-Tara, a beautiful resort in the Ozark region of Missouri. We had a relaxing and inspirational week-end.My withdrawals from the lack of being able to walk into the shop and “tinker” have subsided some since we returned.I began taking measurements and making a drawing relative to moving my shop to a larger and more functional area of the basement. It will be a long process but I’m excited and cant wait to begin. I wil...

"Waunderin' Characters of Wood" --by RusticWoodArt

302 days ago by frank | 3 comments »

Waunderin’ Characters of Wood ....my time is the culmination of the work of a universe, where were it not for others of me singing verse, i might even think that i was the only teller of rhyme, but as so often happens to actors in fields of mime, —-words fade and my hands give in to waunderin’ characters of wood…. So put your mind boots of imagination on and here we go once again, in the dusk of a fading sun, into the throes of cacoethes…. ....’...

"Singing Mallets" --by RusticWoodArt

492 days ago by frank | 5 comments »

Singing Mallets ....and so tis in this the moment of my arising, that the spewing forth of motley coloratura comes weaving heavens rhyme, where i am justified a vision quest of inseeing sensationalizing, that comes to me bearing up beyond my scope of cosmic time…. And so I thought that today I would post a couple of photos of some of the mallets that I have made. These are some that I now use and they, like the ones before them, will in likewise manner be retired with new ones to ...
