I’m doing another easy plane today. I’m watching Norm build table saw jigs this morning and thought I would get another plane posted before I headed out to turn those pens. This is another ebay find. I had been looking for one a while and only seen a couple listed on ebay.
My plan is to use this plane as my miter plane until I can afford a Lie-Nielson or perhaps find one for $5 at a garage sale (one can only hope).

I knew that simply describing the upstairs to the house as needing a lot of work due to its very poor shape was an understatement.
For starters, access to the children’s upstairs bedroom was gained by temporary stairs that had no railings. Fortunately, building a new railing to keep people from falling down the stairs was a no-brainier and relatively easy to fix.
The leaking roof and the windows which had been broken out and left open had caused major damage to the walls and floors...

I just wanted to thank Karson for the infomation he gave on the mortise chisel set deal. They arrived yesterday in a nice wooden box and look well made. Now all I have to do is figure out which deticated mortiser to buy. SuperShop has a mortising attachment for their drill press and I was thinking of getting it until a couple of Lumberjocks talked about the amount of force it took to drive the chisel into the mortised hole with one of these. Bench Dogging After Greene and Greene
And so we now move on to the getting of legs, and in all your getting, be sure to take what you can use.
Moving now to the fourth bay of my barn on the south side, I have a bay filled with lumber from past accumulated workings of wood projects. Looking through the rows of some stickered and some stacked lumber, I soon found what I thought would make some good legs for the table bench dogs. Thought I would get an easy one out of the way. I have to turn some pens this weekend for 4 of my co-workers that are retiring next month . I’m going to do some real nice kits and use some of my best materials. I’ll post some photos in the project section when I finish. It is also my Son’s 16th birthday so we have a party planned. I was going to draw bore peg the breadboard to the top today, but I had to do some fixing instead.I made the tenons the same length as the plan showed, they should have been longer, so there wasn’t enough material. I was afraid of the peg holes breaking out.
You should have about 3/8”, & I only had 1/4”.
To remedy this I epoxied some nails across the ends similar to the torsion bar on a guitar neck .
After I was all done I thought I could have glued in a wooden...

Well, early this afternoon My wife had to rush me into the hospitol with my chest hurting so bad, I was in tears. LUCKLILY it wasn’t my heart. After a few more test, and the exrays from yeasterday they came out and talked to my wife. I now have Broncular Pnuemonea. They have put me on some antibioticsa dn wants me to check in with my personal Dr. Monday. they told my wife they are a fraid it is going to turn into regular pnuemonia. so I will no be doing anything for a while or until my ...

Now that I am a lumberjock I guess I need to do what all lumberjocks do …. spend a lot of time on the computer. Ok, well, maybe not. It is a good start anyway.
