Not another soul here has ever done anything like this before. Seriously!

I feel your pain. I have got wish lists posted on Amazon, Woodcraft, Rockler…... I love tools but, like you I hate to spend money as well. Every now and then, like you at the show, I just let go and justify it by convincing myself that I have done something to justify spending the money.

Nice purchase. A blog on the install would be nice. If you can’t have a new tool the next best thing is seeing someone else enjoying it. After all that is one of the reasons we are here.

You poor boy!

I remember from many years ago an “Our Gang” story where Alfalfa (I think) says” “Get thee behind me, Satan. And don’t push”

You got pushed so it’s not your fault.

Get over it and enjoy your new saw. The benefit will far outweigh the cost!

No, you are going to look at the saw every day and know in your heart that you wish you had the money back in your pocket again.

But, then again you’ll also want the saw in your shop.

I love buying tools! Tools tools tools, us LJ’s can never have to many. And the best part of it is my bride loves to go with me and get them all the time. Ya gotta love that!

Shoot, I’m in your camp. It gotta be a steal or a deal. I buy everything possible used and when I have to buy new I agonize over it for months. I’ve never heard of being able to trade in old tools for new tools from a dealer. Sounds like you did ok. Be nice to your new saw.

-- Happy woodworking!
