74 posts in 1185 days Location: Norwalk, CA I accidentally ran into woodworking when I was planning to do my wainscoting for my house. I pick up a free table saw and the rest is history. Now I have my own very small shop. It's a 9' x 20' room that is secluded (lucky me) from the house. It sounds big but when you start filling it with machines, trust me 9' x 20' is very small. So far I have a cabinet TS, bandsaw, drill press, workbench, router table, planer, jointer, 2 bench sander, scroll saw, oscillating sander, 60 gal air compressor, dust collector, and miter saw. Except for the workbench, everything is on wheels. But the size of my shop is not actually my major problem. In fact I am thankful for my shop. My real problem for now is TIME. Yes, time. I don't have a lot or should I say not enough of it. I have a regular job which is an industrial mechanic and I work from afternoon through evening.
