I started playing with wood quite young, my grandpa got me into it. I've had long periods without woodworking but over the last few years I've gone into it full time. Job loss opened the door to try craft shows with my clocks & small tables. I've added a few turned items over the last month or so. My shop is a small bedroom ( no wife so no dust complaints) about 13' x 12'. My tools leave much to be desired. I have an old Delta 10" bandsaw with a 6" resaw, a Delta table top planer, tabletop router cabinet with a Freud router mounted, a very old Buffalo joiner and a Craftsman job site table saw. The table saw is the worst. The fence wouldn't know square to the blade if you drew it a picture in crayon. The planer functions ok. I cranked the post nuts tight & if you twist the board a few degrees or pull up a bit on the board as it exits you can reduce snipe a great deal. It's a piece meal collection but I do ok with it. I heard about this site at a craft show so thought I'd join and see what I can learn.
