Thank you for the welcome(s). At 41, I have begun my journey into woodworking last year with the purchase of a Bosch 4100 contractor saw. I wanted the mobility of the gravity rise stand, however looking back at the purchase I wish I would have opted for a large stationary cabinet style saw. I don’t know that I’ll have the same flexibility or precision with the contractor saw. Does anybody have any experience with this particular saw or any other contractor saw. How can I make this saw better? I’d like to add an igaging digital rip fence if at all possible. Possibly build a rolling cart for this saw with an integral router table. Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.
God Bless

Welcome to Lumber Jocks! This is a great place to get – or give – advice about woodworking on the forums and the project posts are a wonderful source of new ideas. I look forward to seeing your projects and posts.
To get the most feedback on your projects, it’s best to only post 1 or 2 at a time. This way you will get feedback over several days and from a wide variety of members.
Please enjoy your membership.

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself a few months ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…
Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…
