Scroll Saw Speed - 2 replies

I am going to cut an apple in a piece of 1.5 inch thick Western Cedar. I will probably use a #7, .045x.017, 12tpi blade. So my question is what speed do I set my saw? My saw has a speed of 400 to 1600 strokes per minute. I also have some #9 and #12 blades. Should I go with #7, #9, or #12 blade.
