Well, yesterday I went to the doctor for my yearly checkup. All the test came out within the parameters of a healthy 64 year old man. I feel a heavy load off my shoulders each year when I get the results. The relief grows proportionally with the advancement in age. So I guess there will be one more old grumpy man around on the site for the near future.
P.S – He did question my mental state on finding I subjected my body to spinning and rotating sharp metal objects on a daily basis.

Good for you for getting a check-up. Don’t forget guys & gals, you need to get EVERYTHING checked, even the “unmentionables”, as modern medicine can be your friend if you have things checked to help prevent the really bad stuff (the Big “C”).
I’ve been getting my check-ups completed for the year, including the “Roter Rooter” one, which was quite painless, as you’re knocked out for the procedure. (Didn’t know my most intimate friends were totally unknown to me.) The worst part was the fasting and constant trips to the “Yahooo”. I’m deemed clear for another 10 years!
And don’t forget your dental health. They have noticed that a lot of other body malfunctions can be detected or even caused by bad dental health. I just went to a dentist who used digital X-rays and that was so cool! It took seconds to have the results, just like the digital photography we have come familiar with. His fees were no higher than my previous dentist with the old fashion equipment.
Stay healthy and keep smiling! (I know you Grumps out there really do smile inside. I’m married to one.)

You missed out on a good show. I watched my roto-rooter experience on TV during the procedure. LOL

My Doc says I’ve got the health of a 64 year old man too! Much to my surprise. I told him I was only 42, that’s when I was told to stop eating chuck roast and mashed taters with thick gravy, on a regular basis.
Stay healthy.

Congrats on your good health. I just got told I have to get my prostate biopsied. They have to go up the old dirt road with needles and take 12 samples of the gland. The urologist said it felt like getting snapped by a rubber band, yea, right. I bet he’s had it done.

Congrats man, just tell the Doc that if wood turning is a crazy man’s game, then commit me now.
LOL
