Very nice looking unit. I like the crown and base moldings too. You did a great job.

Looks like you followed the plans pretty good. Nice job on the creation and installation.

Thanks Cabinetmaster and Karson,
Actually Karson, you can’t really tell in the sketchup drawing but the doors with the speaker cloth were kind of plain so I added the panel moulding to dress it up a little.

That looks nice. The finish looks really good. This piece showcases the television well and certainly creates a focal point for the room.

Out of curiosity how do you access the components? I could not see a sensor mounted in the unit.

bentlyj,
Man you sure do know how to make a tv, look like a work of art! That has got to be one of the finest, neat and clean looking entertainment centers I’ve ever seen. Your blog has been such a pleasure as well. Very seldom do we get to see all the different pieces assembled, just reminding us all, that a complex project is just one piece at a time! I’m sure your customer is simply elated with this design and the completed project. Are the doors all push actuated or is there hardware to come? Congratulations on a fantastic looking job!

Sincerely,
Ken McGinnis

Scott, Thank You. The stereo installers said it didn’t need an eye. I’m not sure if the signal will go through the speaker cloth or not but they did have a weird looking receiver on the wall that had an antenna on it. I’m thinking that may be for remote wireless controls.

Thank You Gary , Jim and Keith. Still a little slow, but small jobs are still coming in, just wish they were bigger and came in faster. But I’m still happy to at least have some work.

Thank You Woodbutcher, I’ve done a lot of pre finished units that have to be put together on the job in small sections. Part of the challenge is breaking the unit up into the components so that when it’s put together it still looks like one built-in. I’m glad to have been able to show it. Thanks for the comment.
I’m happy to show one way it can be done.

Really good work. I can’t draw, and I don’t have the pacients for sketch up. The design element is striking. More like a fireplace mantal, sleek close to the wall, this is the first entertaiment system design that I have seen that takes advantage of the flatscreen TV’s most prominent feature- It’s Flat!!! Wood magazine has a contest going on until november. I think your entertainment center would easily take first place in their best furniture piece catagoery. The prize is a nice powermatic band saw.
