Hello LumberJocks!

I’m wondering if anyone can help me out with a project I’m working on. I founded Bee Found, a nonprofit designed to give free bees, hives and mentorship to veterans with PTSD. I had to suspend operations this year due to a deployment (i’m in the National Guard) but I’m currently doing research for when I return.

I’m looking for a CNC machine that can create all aspects of a beehive, but while also a good value. As a new nonprofit, we don’t yet have funds to buy an expenisive one, even though I’m writing grants to help out. I saw @weekenndwoodworking’s post here, but the Arty may be too expensive for us. I’m thinking around $5k-7k for a CNC mahcine that can do this. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Bee Found

My wife has bees; the hives are very simple construction, just box joints and rabbeted frames. Would be quicker for me to build with my TS and a homemade box joint jig than to have a CNC machine cut all the pieces. Not sure what the advantage of CNC would be.
