Over the Stove Spice Rack

This is an order that a customer wanted me to build. It is a spice rack to store spices above the stove. I had to make the legs the full height of the stove because she could not put holes in the walls.

Good job on the build, glad you mentioned that it was the CUSTOMER’S idea because over the stove is the worst place to store spices. Read any spice label – “store in cool dry place” – above the hot steamy stove does not qualify. Your design is great – could easily be adapted for a laundry room to store cleaning supplies above a washer or dryer, or to store other items in the kitchen (measuring cups, pots & pans, cooking utensils) – just not spices. :) Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, I agree with not storing spices over the stove. I personally wouldn’t do it, but that is what she wanted. I think it mostly has to do with trying to save space anywhere possible because the houses here are not nearly as big as they are in the US. Thanks for the comment.
