Making a Marking Knife

I decided to make a marking knife from an old saw blade and some plastic bags. I really like how the blade turned out, but I’m less than thrilled with the handle. I will most likely figure out a different way to do it and then remake the handle. Leave me a comment if you can think of a better method.

Here is a video of how I made it.

Wouldn’t a single edge make for more precise marking?

Bill, Honestly I don’t know. I have never owned or used one. I probably should have researched them before I made one.

Most have a diamond like point of about 35 deg or so with a flat back and the bevels on the other side.

Or

Two separate knives for left and right marking.
