Grew up in Malvern, Chester Co., PA, on a tree farm. 50 years old; have lived in Hershey, PA, York, PA, Pittsburgh, PA, Ephrata, PA, Lowville, NY, Richmond, VA, and now Ahoskie, NC.
Learning 18'th century period furniture making (worked in many small garage shops over the past 25 years); I have taken courses with Charles Bender in E. Coventry, PA (check out his website - Acanthus Workshop - recommend his classes highly!); built Windsor chairs for a period of years in Richmond, VA - did Windsors for dining room at James Madison's Montpelior estate in Orange, VA and Windsors for other historic sites. At the time that was about all I could make due to my shop limitations.
Anesthesiologist, classical guitar player - John Fahey,Leo Kottke are favorites; tennis, swimming laps, touring kayak, used to be a competetive long distance runner; avid reader - history, theology, philosophy, 'National Review' and 'First Things', Christian devotional and Bible study. Interested in medical missions. Helping start up a Pregnancy Care Center in our area.
