Muahahahaha! You’ve made your first mistake: Now I’m competition for the Domino and the Rotex! (I’ve already got the OF1010 router and the TS55 saw and the MFT, but I’m sure that if I win Charlene will want to keep the extra dust extractor.

However, that’s quite a wait for some awesome tools…

Buy the way I recently (June) bought the TS 75 EQ circular saw from Festool along with there Rip and Laminate blades. I have never come accros performance like it before Slices through 12/4 white oak like a hot knife through butter – well worth the extra bucks – and the blades give the best of cuts – better than my selection of Freuds (even when they were new). Just need a few extras now to make it a really “mean machine”

Tom - The Kapex looks great – it would compliment any workshop. It is released here in Finland, but at 1200€ (US$1500) it has to do a lot of work to pay for its self

I agree Tony. It would be hard for me to justify replacing my DW 12” slider with that, but while we were all dreaming. I love the dust extraction with the Festool products. My Domino, TS55 and ETS150 are “go to” tools already in my shop, and the dust extraction of the Kapex would help me control a bit more. However…pricey pricey pricey!!!

Me too, Wayne and it’s bad enough. I wonder if Bill is old enough to remember what LSMFT stood for? I see an MFT up there. I don’t think Liggettt and Myers own Festool, do they?

I’ve got a Festool ROS sander that I got from them for about half price. But I usually don’t take it out of its Systainer. I just grab one of the other handy ones.

Oh Karson…don’t resist man…just pick that bad boy up and use it. Fighting the urge to use the ROS is going to make you constipated.

I’ve had the opprotunity to demo that Kapex here in Australia. And let me tell you it is worth every penny. Like every festool toll it is flooded with features, like easy to set trenching, a set up that lets you cut crown molding with almost no thought. I can’t remember everything, it is just a great tool. I was released here about 6 months ago, so I guess it won’t be in the states until mid next year. We had the domino for over year before the states did.
