Part 1: Start up, getting rid of the mess

04-05-2018 04:17 AM by bandit571 | 0 comments »

Ok, something a little different this time around. Had a bit of Pine leftovers.. Some fancy, most were not. I even found a 1×10 to add to the fancy stuff..1×10 x 4’....needed a way to make use of some of this lumber, rather than throwing it in the fire pit…hmm… Over-flowing with braces…this old til has been out-grown….6 spaces, for 12 drills? I think I could do a bit better? I could build a longer/wider til…..but where to set it? ...

Ok, part 2. Instead of taking a nap, decided to clean house in the shop…. Lots of just junk in the way….other items just needed put away, finally. This “bench” used to be an old square table, somewhere in it’s history, it lost it’s legs. So now, it sits on a pair of sawhorses. This was the original bench when the Dungeon Shop first started up. Handled files went back into the drawer…non-handled ones went to...

Half-n-half? Half woodworking, half cleaning….even found a rolling trashcan to make clean up easier…First a little shavings on the floor time.. Hmmm, more to clean up….tracked down the two “culprits”, was easy enough, still had shavings in them.. Not only was the glued up panel out of the clamps…it was even flat.. Both side pieces were also flattened.. I already had done the ends, Sunday. Which leaves these two.. Maybe a bottom panel for t...

Part 5: About done cleaning up

04-16-2018 05:13 AM by bandit571 | 0 comments »

And took a bit of time for a little Rust Hunting. Corner is clean and dry… Stashed the old bandsaw back in the hole…hopefully things won’t get tossed back there so much….I intend to park the router table in beside it.. Once I can get it cleaned off. May add a shelf or two under the old lathe bench.. And even clean up the top of it…. This is the new Shop Trashcan.. Has wheels to make it easier to haul upstairs….before it gets too full.. On...
