Had a request to build a little box to hold/hide candy in….I had a plank planed down to about 7/16” thick..or so. 6” wide. Has a bit of figure to it.. Needed to get five parts out of it..Mitre saw to cut them out.. You were expecting a motor? Ok, the 5 parts needed.. A panel for the lid, an end a front and back and another end. Part 2: Grooves, panels, and a glue up...

Woke up this morning, decided to work on the Stanley 45…...decided to just hone the cutter that was in it. Needed to reset the fence. And build a jig.. One groove needed to be 1/4” in from the edge. Jig #1 was built to hold the shorter ends in place.. Long piece to keep thing still,shorter blocks clamp the part in place.. Takes a while…I do one edge, rotate the part 180 degrees.. Well, I had gone out to buy a few supplies for the shop, Monday…. And, I finally found the parts for the Langdon Mitre Box’s stock holders…. Figured I could just slip down to the shop, and at least install them….something was calling … The box wanted out of the clamps….took a while to remove all of them… Looking like something the cat dragged in…top wasn’t much better.. Part 4: Lid fixed, and fitted...PIP?

At least until the BLO cures. Then the hinges and a latch get installed Rather a thin fix, but seems to work, also used the same wood to fill in the square holes where the grooves came through,,a look from above? Maybe a look at the end? Showing how the “patch” looks And.maybe a “front” view.. Maybe…trying to decide on which face will be the front…. Or maybe this one?
