Road trip….bill paying….maybe a bit of woodworking…
Might have the match cutter about figured out….but, centering it is still a PITA…

I start with it retracted, then advance until it barely cuts….lots of candle wax, too….

I already had most of this last panel trimmed to match the other end panel….even had to drum sand the feet….

While cutting the tongues, I kept check, to make sure I was taking off the right amount..on each side…

Once the tongues were milled, I could finish cutting the groove for the bottom panel…..Backsaw at least could cut all the way across…chisel to pop the waste out…

Finally decided a dry fit was needed….

As for those skinny feet on the ends panels….they are to blend in with the feet on the front and back panels…

So that they look the same here, as here..

Will need a few c clamps for that part of the glue up. Still need a 1/4” plywood panel cut to size for the bottom of the box….might do that later today…or a nap.

Will see IF I can get this mess all glued up, squared up…maybe later today…..need a few extra hands….

Stay tuned….
