no previous part Part 1 of Next Kitchen Project series Part 2: Wood supplies, and one glue up »

Short vacation from the shop….The Boss has found something else she wants built…uh-oh..

Old &Ugly needs to go, I am told. Built 26 years ago..started out as a 4 drawer chest of drawers….that got changed to a changing table, when our son was born….Instead of drawers, they became shelves…with doors…..later it was a Pantry….now just a catch-all….open those doors at your own risk….

Boss found a catalog ( uh-oh…) that had a picture..

Hmm…Flat-Pack? No, not in this house. i already had a small stash of oak..

But needed almost 20bf more…..contacted a friend of mine, and made a deal for a few more boards..

Let this sit a day or two….time for the Pen & Paper routine…

State of the Art Drafting Table, right? Wanted to lay out sizes, and such….needed a front view..

Cubby holes became drawers….waiting to see how the doors turn out…wood wise.

A look at the end/side of this thing….won’t be as huge as the last project….only 25+” wide. 16” deep….built around that Microwave Oven…

A tablesaw has been moved down to the shop….mainly to do better rip cuts. Rough cuts for crosscuts, too.

Natasha: “You have Plan, Darlink?”
Boris B.: ” Of course I have Plan, they don’t always work, but I always have Plan..”

Stay tuned….
