« Part 3: almost done, sidetracked a bit Part 4 of Dungeon Remodel, the drill til series Part 5: About done cleaning up »

Half-n-half? Half woodworking, half cleaning….even found a rolling trashcan to make clean up easier…
First a little shavings on the floor time..

Hmmm, more to clean up….tracked down the two “culprits”, was easy enough, still had shavings in them..

Not only was the glued up panel out of the clamps…it was even flat..

Both side pieces were also flattened..

I already had done the ends, Sunday. Which leaves these two..

Maybe a bottom panel for the box build? had to move a bandsaw out of the way..

To start the clean up half of the day. raked things out a bit, checking for anything saveable..

Shaings and scraps were hauled out to the firepit…

This was Load #4. Treasures?

Well, an old Plough plane..

A 5/8” plugcutter (never used..
)
One of two (!) try squares found….the other had wooden handle..
Found a Framing square, and a couple boxes..

That fit two of my block planes.

A 6/4 block of Maple…might be a few handles in it?

I don’t think I’ll burn these two….might have a use for them.

Later, I fired up the Firepit…..wound up burning 6 loads. Including a 35gal trash can load….has wheels, I can haul it in and out of the shop a lot easier. Boss had some more cardboard to burn…got things down to just embers, now.

Have a few more loads to haul…TOMORROW. Then re-arrange a few things, and finish the clean up.
Then work on some finger joints to build a box with..hand cut of course. Have to keep an eye out, for any more “Treasures”......and find a spot to sit the shop’s new Trash Can…..so I don’t have to do this Spring Cleaning, again?
(Yeah,...right) Stay tuned. we be gaining on it.
