I wanted to introduce myself. My name is John and I am from LA or lower Alabama. I make custom turkey calls and hand made bowls. I love to turn wood on my lathe and to do scrollwork as well. The site looks like it covers a wide variety of wodworking arenas. I thank you for letting me join up and looking forward to participating

John, you came to the right place! There are tons of different projects on here that cover a wide range of woodworking, and a lot of people willing to share what they know. I’ve made a couple of projects like the ones shown on here. The best thing is that professional woodworkers are wiliing to share their shortcuts and techniques on how to build something. And this is one of the places, if not the place, to go on tool reviews. Heck, there’s one guy who will give you tips on how to sell your projects at a fair, what’s the best and fairest price you can charge. Really good reading. I could go on and on about this site, but it would be better for you to have a look around and see what you come up with.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. I’ve learned a great deal here in a short time, and had some good chuckles.

Have fun!

Welcome to LJ’s

Not only will we talk about the stuff you’re doing, you’ll find yourself expanding to try things you see here. The wood addiction is overwhelming.

LA? I spent some time in LA. Stationed at Mother Rucker. I contemplated a heist to make off with the Boll weevil from Enterprise but was strongly advised not to try.
