What do you think would happen if a Lumberjock and his wife found out they were expecting a day after returning from their trip to Pasadena, CA where they toured the Gamble House? Of course, a Greene and Greene inspired crib design would shortly follow!

This is the third blog I have started having not finished the first two, but this project will absolutely be done by February. How could I live with having to buy a mass produced crib for our new baby?

I studied the regulations for cribs along with the Greene & Greene Virtual Archives at and came up with a design based on the Gamble master bedroom beds:

What do you think? I ordered 4/4 and 8/4 Mahogany from Wall Lumber and have started shaping the larger parts. More will come later.

This is a beautiful design and I’d like to make one for my “not yet started” grandson or granddaughter. Have you made the plans publicity available (free or $)?

Have your say...
