Hi there everyone I’m Dave and I retired a few years ago, and it has taken me a couple of years to build a shed and get it almost how I want it. Mind you I don’t think any hobbyist or professional would ever admit to having enough equipment or tools! I was unable to take part in my interest of woodworking before I retired but now I am making sawdust with the rest of you. My wife Kelley and I share the shed; on my side of the shed I cut, saw and bang making sawdust and sometimes I even make something useful. Kelley is on the other side of the dividing wall playing with mud… yes, she is a Potter. We both enjoy being in the shed together and give encouragement, especially when Kelley or I think things are not right and it is the end of the world because whatever we are working on in our minds is a disaster. All that I have learnt in woodworking is from reading, watching videos on Youtube and being a Guild member for just over a year on The Woodwhisperer’s site. Even though I may not make everything that is offered in the Guild Builds, the information that Marc offers is invaluable. So many good sites out there giving good advice and from the few days I have been a member of Lumberjocks I am just awestruck at the ability and talent of the members here, just amazing workmanship and everyone is so friendly. My jaw dropped when I started getting welcome messages. Well, I think I am babbling so I will end it here and get some pictures ready of my workshop. Thanks everyone for the kind words of welcome.

Thank you for your comments on the fish trivets.

You gave me a chuckle when you said “someone ate the fish and left the bones”.

I just checked your home page, I am not very good at keeping up with newer members, but I noticed you where pretty new when you commented on some of my projects.
I just want to say Welcome to Lumberjocks, I hope you enjoy this site as much as I do!
If you ever need anything that I might be able to help you with, just ask!

P.S I think it is great that you and your wife share the shed, that is just too cool!
Have a great day my friend!

We started on Etsy not too long ago and will be adding new items.
