zero clearance insert

i need a new insert and the original piece is metal and .070 thick i can use up to .090 but the only material i have that thin is plexiglass or clear acrylic . im kinda afraid to use it afraid it might shatter. any ideas on another material that will fit the bill ?

Put a 1/4” MDF sheet on the table using double stick tape and run the blade up through it. Works like a charm.

Hey Rick.. What is the saw you have. If it happenes to be a sears, you can order it from sears parts department. I just got one for mine. There were no blanks that I could find. The insert that I got from sears is plastic. Hope this helps you.
