Woodworking has been a hobby of mine for several years. I grew up watching my grandfather do woodcarving and occasionally make furniture. Being the kind of person that loves puzzles, building with legos, and an all around nerd...Woodworking seemed right down my alley. So God willing I was able to spend a few years working alongside with my grandfather as I started making some furniture projects. I always knew that my grandfather knew a lot about woodworking, but those few years I had with him were PRICELESS! I consider myself very fortunate to have been able to have learned some of his tricks an tips, but I know that he had so much more in his mind that I could have learned. Regardless here I am blazing a trail for myself learning things as I go. Thankfully my wife is willing to allow me to indulge my hobby, and every once in a while I get to invest in a new toy to play with.

thanks to all for the warm welcome. I look forward to learning more tips and tricks from what all of you have done. Like Wisty said though I think I am going to have to “temper” my use of LJ so that I don’t form an out of control addiction :-)

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless
