I'm a 47y.o. Italian architect with a long life passion for wood. My name is Majer, probably there was a German/Austrian ancestor who moved to Italy some centuries ago.
I have built a boat and currently I'm building another one; I have always been very keen on American manuals, especially about boatbuilding, and now a funny thing happens to me : I know some American technical terms but I don't know the corresponding Italian ones...and I'm a "pure" Italian Antonio!

Give a look at my pics on picasa if you like.

Antonio, Welcome. After looking at your pictures i Picasa I was amazed! you are a real talent. I loved the tools especially the Vice for working outdoors, well all of them actually.

Thank you Karson and Tim too.

Tim: my original idea was only to fix a vice to an heavy log. For the vice itself, I got inspiration from the photos of a famous workbench in Scott Landis’s book about workbenches.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless
