Made some more progress on the dresser last night. Installed the hardwood drawer slides, back and base.

I was concerned about the base having 45 degree miters, as I have never really had too much success with miters. The front base is a three piece base. Since I was concerned about the miters being accurate, I wanted to have the flexibility of creating the middle run separate. This worked out OK, but not as well as I wanted it to. Some sanding will help alleviate noticeable cracks and differences with the grain. I’m thinking about running a 1/4” round router bit in the curved area and the top of the base as well.
There are 3/4” support pieces that butt up against the bottom of the dresser at the corners of the base and at the back. This is to provide vertical support for the base and to join the 45 degree miters as well. Also, this is where felt sliders will be installed.
The back is 1/4” plywood and is screwed into the backs of the drawer supports to keep them from sagging.
