Here is what I am working on at present. Proving to be quite a challenge for me….which is good for me. The show timber is Kowhai |ˈkəʊwʌɪ, ˈkɔːfʌɪ| noun
a tree of the pea family, which bears hanging clusters of yellow flowers. It is native to New Zealand and Chile and yields useful timber. Birds like the Tui are attracted to the yellow flowers.
Anyway…...have a look and I hope you enjoy it.
Glad to see another one of your videos. Looking forward to the next one. I am curious to see how this project will turn out. Steam bending thicker pieces of wood is not easy. Gluing laminated strips is much more forgiving.
Wow!! This is proving to test my patience and teaching me a few skills along the way. Curves are always a challenge for me. I've made a few mistakes but have been able to fix them so far.
I remember making my first dovetail joint way back in high school wood shop. It was not that good. Having a good teacher makes all the difference. Good results are a combination of determination and a good teacher. Great job.
