I recently came across a supply of lumber from a business here in Cincinnati, OH, Midwest Woodworking. It is owned by a second generation businessman, Frank David. The warehouse he has is probably well over 40,000 sq feet. Spread out across 2 floors are some of the longest complete boules of lumber I’ve ever seen in Sapele, Mahogany and Makore.
He lets customers dig through some of the most amazing piles of lumber and pick your favorite boards. One board, or 1,000’s of bd/ft, whatever you want. The prices are simply insane for the quality of lumber he has. Definitely half or less than what you would pay at retail.
If you are interested, you can give him a call at 513-631-6684. Leave a message and he’ll call you back.
Please mention my name Andy Brownell, if you do call them.
It’s worth the drive and time if you live anywhere in this area.

Thanks. Good to know.
For domestic hardwoods, checkout Vineyard Hardwoods in Alexandria, KY.
Recently, I’ve been buying reclaimed wood and hardware from a reclaim center in Covington, Kentucky.
There are also several f these in Cincinnati.

Thats great to know, I just move to SE Indiana last year and I am still trying to learn my way around. I’m in Milan IN so Cincy isn’t to far away. I end up there at least once a week anyways.
Thanks

Finally, between shipping costs or driving to Dayton to get any lumber- it is costing me time and lots of money. This could be a real help. Thanks Andy
